Miss Debs – Principal

Deborah Evans is the principal of Minety Dance Theatre School (MDTS), she has a career in dance and theatre spanning nearly 30 years. She established the dance school in April 1999 and has been teaching all forms of dance for nearly 14 years.
Deborah started her career in dance at the age of 3 with Mollie Tanner at Tanwood School of Performing Arts where she gained her associates diploma in ISTD dance in ballet, tap and modern, and achieved her first professional performance aged 8 years old. She furthered her training with a diploma from the ISTD Teachers Programme.
Before founding the dance school, Deborah worked in the professional theatre and television, both in London and the provinces
As a performer she has played leading roles alongside well known names. She played the part of Clara in the Nutcracker Suite with the Northern Ballet Company tour, Played leading ladies in pantomimes and chorus, Played Katie Pottage, Mrs Pottage and Dr Gilbertson in Postman Pats Adventures national tour. TV credits are a student nurse in the TV series of Casualty, Crime Watch UK, Only Fools And Horses, Anglo Saxons Film, several TV commercials such as McDonalds, Amstrad Computers and SWEB Electricity.
Returning to the local area in 1999 Deborah has built her school from the ground up. MDTS now operates from 2 locations delivering dance to an extremely high standard.
Many of her former pupils are now working in all corners of the world as professional dancers, some working on Cruise Ships, some in Ballet companies etc. Most recently some of her pupils have been given places at Tring Park, White Lodge and Liberatus Performing Arts School.
Not content with teaching dance during the week, Deborah also set up MDTS Theatrical Agency as well as Junior and Youth Dance Academies. She also freelances in schools and colleges around the country.

Stephen Evans – Vocalist

I am a friendly, supportive and encouraging teacher who has experience working with children as well as adults of all ages.
I teach audition preparation as well as live performance.
I have experience in working with small groups, one-to-ones, and bands.
Help can be given with microphone technique and harmonies as well as vocal technique.
I’m happy to teach all levels and abilities whether wishing to prepare for exams or just sing for pleasure.
It’s teaching for singing the way you want to!

Miss Abigail – Teacher

Abigail has been dancing since the age of three and started her dancing career off here at Minety Dance Theatre School.
Abigail then went on to study Dancing and Performing arts at Liberatus School Of Performing Arts at 16 for three years training. She graduated and then began her career in the dancing industry. Abigail has performed in numerous pantomimes and shows and has worked with a London Company before continuing her growing career with teaching. Now she is teaching at a variety of different primary schools and has her own classes in Sherston on a Tuesday evening and Tetbury on a Friday evening, along with classes at Cricklade leisure centre and here with Minety Dance. Bringing fun and exciting classes to Minety Dance along with her young look on the dancing industry, she loves her teaching and strives to inspire young performers to achieve their best.
